What Makes Sena Spa Special
Sena is a small locally-owned business within The Teton Club. We’re a cozy private spa with personalized service provided by top-notch professionals who customize each session.
World-Class Massage and Skin Care
We’ve worked in, managed, and created menus for spas of Jackson Hole including Lost Creek Spa, The Body Sage Spa, Little Spa at The Alpine House, Alpenhof, Amangani, Four Seasons and more. Our owner is tireless in her quest to create exceptional value-added experiences on par with renown niche and boutique spas. We’ve taken the best of what we have learned in the world’s destination and curated World-Class Massage and healthy, rejuvenating Skin Care tailored for you.
Consultative, Intuitive Approach to Integrative Bodywork
An elite team, your professional contracted therapists are carefully selected, vetted by an owner with near 18 years of experience in bodywork, and compensated at above-market rates for their commute to serve you here in Teton Village.
We’re versatile body workers adept at working on athletes and addressing target issues. We review your goals to address concerns and help you move further from dis-ease in the direction of health and wellness.
Customized Modern Skin Care for All Ages, Goals, and Skin Types
Our approach to skin care relies on modern technology and technique. We assist skin to build skin health. After experiencing sun damage from living in Costa Rica, Megan became a licensed Esthetician and is passionate about discerning over-hyped trends from truths in skin care.
Sena Facials are a thorough system of exfoliation, cleansing, and reintroducing hydration through infusion. We continually refine Sena’s Signature Facial Rituals. We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback about facial services.
We treat all skin types. We can assist teens in learning how to care for their skin, the betterment of skin conditions such as acne, to GENTLY and safely aid in renewal and turnover of skin to reveal beautiful, dewy, freshly glowing skin. We expand our knowledge, skill set and are dedicated to evolving and growing. Now with MSB / My Skin Buddy we can teach you how to take care of your skin and maximize the benefits of your professional skin care product investment.
Sena’s Professional Therapists are Experienced, Certified, and Insured. Our Standards are High
Wyoming is one of the last states to allow the practice of massage therapy by unlicensed individuals.
We feel Massage Therapists need be not just certified and insured but trained in accredited institutions. Massage Therapy requires knowledge of the relationship between client/practitioner, standards, ethics, therapeutic boundaries, health contraindications, work within a defined scope of practice and therapists do not diagnose. Additionally, when a candidate is seeking a state license it is standard practice to undergo additional testing, fingerprinting. Then, therapists must meet background check requirements, be free of prior convictions, and meet annual continuing education requirements. Wyoming requires NOTHING. Laramie county In Cheyenne has a limited ordinance. Anyone can call themselves a “Professional Massage Therapist.” Sena Spa strongly opposes this lack of regulation and local misrepresentation of services as being “professional.”
Wyoming Lacks Legislation
We believe strongly that legislation is necessary to protect pubic health and safety. In Jackson Hole, it’s easy to assume that your therapist is certified, when in fact, they may have no formal education nor qualify for licensure in a regulated state. This means an individual purporting to be a “professional massage therapist” may have never taken an anatomy course and have minimal knowledge of what they are doing.
Massage is an investment in your health and well being. It is paramount to receive bodywork from professionally trained body workers. Trust your body with the best. Even if a local spa says its practitioners are licensed you may want to ask further. There is no “licensing” in Wyoming. If a therapist is said to be “licensed” it would be from another state.
Sena is Owner Operated by a Wellness Practioner
Our owner trained in over 20 modalities and has made therapeutic bodywork a life study. Sena Spa therapists are personally vetted by an industry veteran who studied massage prior to being formally trained in 2002. That nearly 18 years in an industry with an average lifespan of 6 years. When our owner receives a therapeutic massage she discerns not just the technical abilities but the level of education and intuitive ability to perceive. As a therapeutic practitioner, she only wants to work among the best.
The Teton Club is private.
